Hit Send is now part of Ark Advance

Email marketing was the first thing Ark Advance ever did, back in 2002. More than twenty years on, we're glad to be back in it.

We're pleased to share that Hit Send, the Auckland email marketing service, has joined Ark Advance.

There's a nice symmetry to this for us. When Ark Advance started out in 2002, email marketing was the very first work we did. Back then we worked as consultants, helping businesses who were just getting going with email find their feet. More than two decades later we're back working in it, and it feels like the right moment to be.

Email marketing holds a special place in the marketing mix. Paid search and social ads are very good at finding new customers and bringing them to you, and we run plenty of both for our clients. Email does something different. It's the channel you own outright, your direct line to the people who already know you, working quietly in the background to keep you front of mind and turn one-off buyers into regulars. The strongest marketing uses these alongside each other, each doing the job it does best. Bringing Hit Send into Ark Advance means we can now offer that complete picture.

Hit Send built its reputation on making email simple for business owners. You tell them what's happening, they handle the planning, writing, design, sending and reporting, and all you do is approve it before it goes out. That doesn't change. The handover has already happened, and I've personally run the first campaigns since, partly because I wanted to learn the process from the inside before the rest of the team stepped in. For existing clients, the service carries on exactly as it always has, now with the wider Ark Advance team behind it.

Hit Send was co-founded by Phil Vialoux, who has handed the business and its clients to us. Phil was careful about who would take it forward, and we're grateful he saw Ark Advance as the right home for it.
